The HDR-4×4-Pro by SmartAVI is an HDMI matrix switch that supports four HDMI sources and users can route the four sources to any of the four connected HDMI displays. Using an inexpensive Cat5e/6 cable and an HLX-500-RX receiver unit at each of the four end points, users can extend the HDMI signals up to 325 feet (100 meters). This reliable extension capability breaks the distance barriers that restrict HDMI cables. With unprecedented flexibility and convenience, this new device is overhauling the old challenges of HD matrix routers with an easy-to-install solution which includes a local HDMI out for enhanced monitoring capabilities.
The HDR-4×4-Pro can direct four inputs and four outputs with effortless switching options. While some users will prefer to switch sources by using the front-panel buttons on the device, others will require longer distance switching solutions. That’s why the matrix offers RS-232 control and infrared control, enabling users to operate the matrix’s functions from virtually anywhere.
