Transmit USB signals farther than conventional cables with the use of USB extenders. USB extenders by SmartAVI consist of a transmitter and receiver for extending USB and various video signals over CAT5/5e/6 or fiber optic cables. SmartAVI offers USB extenders with a variety of other signals to accommodate the application at hand. Installation is effortless as all SmartAVI extenders are plug and play systems.
SmartAVI’s USB2-MAX extends standard USB (Universal Serial Bus) 2.0 signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) using a single CAT5 cable. The USB2-MAX supports all USB 2.0 high-speed devices, from keyboards to digital cameras and will operate on Windows®, Mac and Linux® operating systems. An integrated four-port hub allows for multiple devices to be connected to the USB2-MAX at once. Additional USB hubs can be added, increasing the amount of devices that can be plugged into the USB2-MAX.
