Transmit DVI signals farther than conventional cables with the use of DVI extenders. DVI extenders by SmartAVI consist of a transmitter and receiver for extending DVI signals to up to 275ft over CAT5/5e/6 cables. With the introduction of technology, DVI signals can be extended even further to up to 400ft (120m) without shielded cabling. Installation is effortless as all SmartAVI extenders are plug and play systems.
DVX is the first series of DVI extenders developed by SmartAVI when digital video was in its infancy. Still going strong, this line of extenders can reach up to 225ft using CAT5e/6 STP cables. The series includes very innovative and practical solutions such as the RK-DVX200 which can extend up to 16 DVI signals from a single rack mountable unit, and the DVX-2P and -4P which extend KVM stations containing two or four monitors.
Extend DVI signals' effective range by 225 feet via CAT5 cabling.
Extend as many as 16 DVI-D signals over Cat6 STP cables up to 225 feet from a single rack mountable unit.
Extend two DVI-D video signals, USB 1.1, stereo audio, and RS-232 up to 275 feet over CAT5 cabling.
Extend four DVI-D video signals, USB 1.1, stereo audio, and RS-232 up to 275 feet over Cat5 cabling.
Next up in the DVI extender series is the KLX. This line extends DVI-KVM via LAN or through direct CAT5e/6 cable connections. When extending via LAN, additional extenders can be daisy-chained to reach thousands of feet.
A step up from the DVX series, LDX allows you to use regular unshielded (UTP) cabling. A single UTP cable is enough to transfer DVI, USB Keyboard/Mouse, Audio and RS232 up to 245ft. The LDX product family contains options to extend DVI only, DVI KVM, Dual-Head DVI KVM and Quad-Head DVI KVM.
Extend DVI-D video and RS-232 signals up to 245 feet.
Extend DVI-D, USB Keyboard-Mouse, RS-232 and stereo audio up to 245 feet.
Extend two DVI-D, USB Keyboard-Mouse, and stereo audio signals up to 245ft.
Extend four DVI-D video, USB Keyboard-Mouse, and stereo audio signals up to 245 feet.
The SDX series of products can reach distances of up to 400ft over UTP cabling. As with the LDX series, a single UTP cable can handle DVI, USB Keyboard/Mouse, Audio and RS232. The latest member of the family, the SDX-XT KVM Extender, has USB 2.0 capability so you can extend any of your USB devices in addition to the keyboard/mouse.
Extend DVI-D video and RS-232 signals up to 400 feet over a single Cat5e/6 cable.
Extend DVI-D, USB Keyboard-Mouse, RS-232, and stereo audio signals up to 400 feet over Cat5 cabling.
Extend two DVI-D video, RS232, stereo audio, and USB Keyboard-Mouse signals up to 400 feet via CAT5 cabling.
Extend four DVI-D video, RS-232, stereo audio, and USB Keyboard-Mouse signals up to 400 feet via CAT5 cabling.
Extend DVI-D, USB 2.0, USB KEYBOARD/MOUSE and Audio up to 500 feet over a single CAT5/6 Uncompressed Cable.
